Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Today I was able to do something I’ve wanted to do for years. I volunteered for the 1st time at a soup kitchen serving meals to those in need. I ask myself every Christmas since in the Bible the wise men brought gifts to Jesus what can I give to Jesus this Christmas. I came across Matthew 25:35-40 which says: For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ It was so rewarding and I will definitely do it again and more often. I know for some people Christmas can be a depressing and stressful time for many different reasons. You may have lost a loved one, you may not be able to buy someone the gift they wanted or you may just have the holiday blues. Well I just want to say to you that God loves you! He loves you so much He gave you a wonderful gift. He gave you the greatest gift known to man. 2Corinthians 9:15 says Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! And that gift is Jesus! Jesus will help you through any situation or circumstance you may be going through. It may be hard but look to Him. It may take all the strength you have but rely on and trust in Him and He will see you through. I wish you and your family a very Merry CHRISTmas!
