Walk in the peace God provided for you

We have a right as children of God to walk in the peace He provided for us. We have a right to have peace of mind, to be stress free and free from fear. This is one of my favorite subjects because at one point in my life the devil tried to take my peace BUT GOD restored it to me & I’m never letting it go again! The devil has no right to mess with our minds, to stress us out or to fill us with fear so don’t let him do it! In Judges 6:24 one of the names of God is Jehovah-Shalom which means the Lord our peace. In Isaiah 9:6 Jesus is called the Prince of Peace. In Romans 14:17 it says there is peace in the Holy Ghost. We can have this peace no matter what is going on around us. Everything may not be the way we want it to be but we can still have peace. All hell can be breaking loose around us but we can still have peace. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer & supplication with thanksgiving let our requests be known unto God and the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So when a situation arises that could steal our peace make a decision not to let it stress you out. Seek the Lord‘s direction & do what He tells you to do. Give God all of your cares and concerns and let Him help you. We can’t fix it in our own strength anyway so we might as well let Him help us. He’s the only one with all the answers. I know sometimes that’s easier said than done but it can be done or else He wouldn’t have told us to do it. When thoughts come into our minds that don’t line up with the Word of God reject it & cast it down (II Corinthians 10:5). Replace bad thoughts with God‘s Word.  Meditating on God‘s Word daily is like washing your mind from the bad stuff and replacing it with the good stuff. You are too blessed to be stressed!

Here are some more scriptures about God‘s peace that I love to meditate on regularly: Psalms 119:165, Isaiah 26:3, I Corinthians 2:16, II Timothy 1:17, I Corinthians 14:33, Isaiah 54:10, St John 14:27 and Colossians 3:15

I’m reading an excellent book by Joyce Meyer called Power Thoughts. I highly recommend this book. It teaches you how to line your thoughts up with God‘s Word. http://www.joycemeyer.org/ProductDetail.aspx?id=005016

I really love old hymns and I found an internet station that only plays relaxing & peaceful Christian instrumental music and hymns. Here is a link: http://www.wordoftruthradio.com/listen_wotr1.html
